Pacific Northwest International Section (PNWIS) Conference
November 7, 2012
PNWIS was formed in 1961 to promote the interchange of technical information regarding the control of air pollution. Over time the organization has grown and changed and now addresses the needs of professionals with interests in air and water pollution, waste management, environmental planning, sustainability, climate change and other environmental topics.
Over 900 individuals in Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and the Yukon are members of PNWIS. Approximately 800 other individuals are associated with local government, manufacturers, consulting and testing firms and the public sector.
PNWIS continues to serve as a forum for formal technical information exchange but also provides an opportunity to enhance one’s professional status and enjoy the camaraderie that comes from sharing concerns and knowledge with others with similar interests.
